Designated Disabled Parking

The Province of New Brunswick issues Parking Placards and Permits for persons with disabilities to promote designated parking spaces for persons with disabilities.

Disability Support Program

Provides personalized, flexible disability supports for persons with disabilities in the development of their personal disability support plans. It allows for the provision of independent facilitation and the use of person centered approaches to planning and designing disability supports.

Federal/Provincial Repair Program

This program provides financial assistance for low income homeowners occupying existing substandard housing to repair, rehabilitate or improve their dwellings to a minimum level of health and safety. It also provides for modifications to low-income homeowner and rental units to improve the accessibility of the dwelling for disabled occupants, adaptations for low income seniors who have difficulty with daily living activities in the home, and it provides assistance for limited modifications to eligible households to accommodate an aging parent.

Nursing Home Services

Nursing home services include resident care, resident support, maintenance, and general administration.

Vehicle Retrofit Program

This program is designed to increase the mobility of persons with a disability residing in the province of New Brunswick by providing financial assistance towards the cost of supplying and installing eligible retrofitting and accessibility features for vehicles.

Federal Excise Gasoline Tax Refund Program

The Federal Excise Gasoline Tax Refund Program refunds a portion of the federal excise tax on gasoline bought for use by eligible persons or organizations.

Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program (RRAP) On-Reserve

This program provides funding to First Nation councils and members so that they can repair on-reserve housing that does not meet minimum federal health and safety standards, or make homes accessible to persons with disabilities.
