Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Disability Benefits
CPP provides a monthly taxable benefit to contributors who are disabled and to their dependent children.

Registered Disability Savings Plan
The Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) is a long-term savings plan to help Canadians with disabilities and their families save for the future. The Government of Canada assists by paying a matching Canada Disability Savings Grant. Individuals who open an RDSP may also be eligible to receive a Canada Disability Savings Bond.

The International Benefits program may provide retirement, disability or survivor benefits to eligible individuals who have lived or worked in another country, or the surviving spouse, common-law partner or children of eligible individuals who have lived or worked in another country.

The Canada Revenue Agency does not consider an individual's ability to work when it is determining eligibility for the DTC.
Community Care Access Centres coordinate services for seniors, people with disabilities and people who need health care services in the community to help them live independently in their own homes for as long as possible. Staff at the centres provide information and coordinate professional, personal support and homemaking services for people living in their own homes and for school children with special needs, and make arrangements for admission to long-term care facilities.

The Canada Pension Plan Disability Vocational Rehabilitation Program offers vocational counselling, financial support for training, and job search services to recipients of Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Disability Benefits to help them return to work.

Provincial Land Tax Deferral Program for Low-Income Seniors and Low-Income Persons with Disabilities
Low-Income Seniors and Low-Income Persons with Disabilities may apply for a partial deferral of Provincial Land Tax and Education Tax. The tax deferral applies to the tax increase in the current year and not to outstanding taxes.

This bursary program offers funding to eligible students with disabilities who are enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution.
