International Benefits

The International Benefits program may provide retirement, disability or survivor benefits to eligible individuals who have lived or worked in another country, or the surviving spouse, common-law partner or children of eligible individuals who have lived or worked in another country.

Old Age Security (OAS)

This pension provides a monthly taxable benefit to persons 65 years of age and over.

Allowance for the Survivor

This program provides a monthly non-taxable benefit to low-income widows who are not yet eligible for the Old Age Security pension.

Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Retirement Pension

The Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Retirement Pension provides a monthly taxable benefit to retired contributors.

Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS)

This program provides a monthly non-taxable benefit to low-income Old Age Security recipients.

Allowance Program

Allowance is a monthly benefit for low-income seniors (aged 60-64) whose spouse or common-law partner is eligible for, or currently receiving, the Old Age Security (OAS) pension and the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS).

Additional Information

• Apply up to 12 months before your 60th birthday.
• If you have already reached the age of 60, send your application as soon as possible.
  

Yukon Seniors' Income Supplement

This supplement provides a monthly payment to low-income seniors receiving Guaranteed Income Supplement or Old Age Security benefits or to seniors (aged 60-65) receiving the Allowance.

Social Housing

This program provides social housing for individuals, families, and seniors who cannot afford suitable housing.

Pioneer Utility Grant

This grant helps eligible seniors (aged 65 and over) offset the cost of utilities.

• Applications are accepted from October 1st of one year until January 31st of the following year.
