While browsing through your results, it is important to remember that when you select a specific program or service for more detailed information, you will be leaving the Canada Benefits Web site. How do I use this Web site?

Information on the Canada Benefits Web site is organized in a variety of ways to make it easy for you to find information about federal, provincial and territorial government programs and services. You can choose from the following:

Benefits Finder

The Benefits Finder is a question and answer tool designed to provide you with a customized bundle of federal, provincial and territorial programs and services related to your specific needs. Simply answer the questions, and the Benefits Finder will give you a personalized list of programs and services that match your answers.

"I Am" and "Life Events"

The choices listed under "I Am" and "Life Events" provide a quick list of federal, provincial and territorial programs and services that may be of assistance to you. Simply click on the category ("Parent," "Unemployment," etc.) that best applies to you.

Near the bottom of the "I Am" and "Life Event" pages, after the federal, provincial and territorial programs and services listing, you may also see a section titled "Other Related Links". These links provide you with more information that you may find useful.

A to Z Benefits Index

The A to Z Benefits Index is an alphabetical listing of all benefit programs listed on the Canada Benefits Web site. Simply click on a letter and select a keyword or a program from the list that appears. For example, if you're looking for the Canada Pension Plan you can click "C" for "Canada Pension Plan," or you can click "P" and look under "Pension."

Keyword Search

You can use the keyword search feature to find specific benefit programs. You can use either the quick search or the advanced search.

To use the quick search, type one or more keywords into the search box on the upper left of your screen.

To use the advanced search, click the black "Search" button on the top navigation bar.
